Incredible Resources for Enhancing Everyday Life

In this post, I wanted to share with you some resources I have found to be incredibly useful for trying times, tough seasons, personal growth, healing in the midst of anxiety and depression, and for simply making everyday life more beautiful, rewarding and fulfilling.

  1. Cleaning up the Mental Mess podcast by Dr. Caroline Leaf

In my earliest stages of learning to cope with pervasive anxiety, this insightful podcast by Dr. Caroline Leaf provided me with practical tips and strategies that I could use daily to rewire my brain and completely change the way I think. Learning these strategies was a lifeline for me at a time that I questioned if my anxiety would ever get any better. Spoiler alert. It did.

2. Listening to Shame by Brené Brown

This talk by Brené Brown is a true game-changer. Being able to identify the voice of shame in our lives and learning to love ourselves in spite of our flaws and imperfections, gives us freedom to truly enjoy our lives and find confidence to pursue the things that matter most to us. I am a big fan of Brené Brown overall and have also read The Gifts of Imperfection and Dare to Lead, both of which I highly recommend.

3. Proverbs 31 Ministries

Led by Lisa Terkeurst, Proverbs 31 Ministries posts a daily devotion, written by real women, facing the real issues of life. This is a faith-based resource that we can all relate to, as it applies Biblical truths to life circumstances we all navigate. Proverbs 31 Ministries also offers women with Bible Study resources and it’s First Five App, an interactive Bible Study platform that allows women to connect with ladies from all over!
