What are you waiting for? We are all waiting for something. Waiting for things to change, waiting for things to get better, waiting for someone to care, waiting for someone to love. If your anything like me, you’re waiting for the next step and wondering, when is it coming? What is it going to look like? What will it lead to? How will I know?
“Until God opens the next door, praise Him in the Hallway.” I love this quote. I was thinking forward last night. I was picturing myself as an elderly 80 year old woman. (Kind of weird I know). As a 26-year-old, there is so much I am hoping for and so much that I am praying for, not just for myself but for the people that I love. I wonder how many stories of answered prayers that I will have to tell at 80? I wonder between now and then how many times God will show off in His love and His faithfulness, totally changing my life and the lives of those around me. I bet I will have a TON of stories to share. I already have a few under my belt right now. I’m aware of the fact that my life consists of one episode after another where God has proved His faithfulness to me. My life truly does move from one open door to the next.
But in between every open door, lies a hallway. The hallway can make you or break you, because it’s in the hallway where your character is forged, where your tenacity is tested and your faith is built. It’s in the hallway where you determine what your attitude is going to be. Choose to be thankful. Choose to Praise God and choose to make the most out of each and every moment. Remember, even when things don’t seem to be changing on the outside, God is always changing you on the inside. He never stops working on your behalf.
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isa. 40:31
